  • We’ve worked with Early Years Community Development networks and coalitions at local, regional and provincial levels in BC and Alberta. In addition, we’ve supported multi-agency collaboration among non-profits (child & family serving organizations, literacy initiatives, community agencies, and BC Centre for Non Profit Mgmt), and among public partners and funders (Ministry of Children & Family, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and United Way). Tracy & Tammy, Ready to Raise – Our Overall Work
  • Best, most relevant workshop that I have ever attended.

  • We were drawn to consider working with Ready to Raise for a variety of reasons. We had heard of amazing work done by Tracy and Tammy in the field of Early Years Community Development. We had also been given the task of creating a 3 year strategic plan involving many partners, all who have a passion for Early Years, with many equally compelling ideas and wishes for the plan. The task at hand seemed somewhat daunting. We wanted to do a good job, but how? We understood that Ready to Raise would work with us to increase our own ability to create a meaningful plan, giving us more ownership and confidence in seeing it through. They delivered in every way we had hoped. We are now in the final stages of a wonderfully exciting and manageable plan that has a strong foundation in community development. Tracy was able to tailor her support in the ways we needed most, one to one phone conversations, on line tools and exercises, and in person facilitation. It has been a wonderful experience full of growth and opportunity for skill development.

  • The toolkits and resources provided by Ready to Raise have been so valuable to me. As much of my community development work is done in a small number of hours, it’s a gift to have so many quality, ready-to-use materials at my fingertips. I know Tammy and Tracy have put heaps of thought and experience into all of the resources they share, so I can use them confidently. I have found the activities and slideshows to be especially useful, and am also grateful that if I have a question or comment, I can share it in the community that Tracy and Tammy have created. I highly recommend Ready to Raise to any community developer seeking new ideas, support, and a wealth of usable resources.

  • Coaching with Tammy was helpful to me personally and professionally. She asked questions that encouraged me to speak my truth, to listen to my voice, strengths and passion and to clarify my leadership intentions and goals.  Planning and mentoring with Tracy was helpful – she helped me create and simplify our community process and provided me with useful resources, outlines and graphics to keep us on track!

As a result of coaching and mentoring, our their community network felt inclusive and positive. Early Years Community work can be so isolating…I wish I had ongoing coaching and planning time with Tammy & Tracy.

  • The relationship mapping activity was the best learning session of the conference! They helped us share our experiences with each other which resulted in many creative strategies and ideas for strengthening relationships among other spheres of influence in the community. My definition of “village” and who I can work with is bigger.
